Die Mammoth Hot Springs sind heiße Quellen, die durch die Ausfällung von Kalk- und Mineralienanteilen beim Quellaustritt entstanden sind. Algen und Bakterien leben in den Warmwasserbecken und sorgen so, je nach Temperatur des Wassers, für die spektakuläre Farbvielfalt, die sich teilweise auch von Jahr zu Jahr ändert. Auf der kurzen Rundtour entlang der eindrucksvollsten Quellen und Terrassen lernen wir mehr über dieses - mehrere Millionen Jahre alte Naturwunder - kennen und besuchen die bekanntesten Exemplare, wie die Minerva-Quelle, den Liberty Cap oder die Jupiter-Quelle.
