Die Rohnenspitze ragt direkt über Zöblen auf und der leidenschaftliche Skitourengänger blickt bei der Fahrt durch das Tannheimer Tal immer sehnsüchtig auf den gewaltigen 900 m hohen Nordhang. Die Verhältnisse müssen schon passen, aber dann ist die Skitour auf die Rohnenspitze und die Abfahrt über die Nordseite keine besonders schwierige Unternehmung. Aber eine besonders schöne. Die Ausblicke über das Tannheimer Tal sind phantastisch und vom Gipfel aus hat man eine traumhafte Rundumsicht in die Allgäuer Berge. Der Aufstieg über den Nord-West-Grat ist meistens abgeblasen und entsprechend oft eisig und etwas mühsam. Eine durchaus gute Alternative ist der Aufstieg über das Zirleseck und zu Fuß auf dem Südgrat über den Gipfel der Rohnenspitze.
