Family Friendly Hike to Hündlekopf

Free parking, a nice enclosed gondola ride, a short hike up to the Hündlekopf, and an Alpe with a playground make this trip fun for the entire family. The view from the top is a breathtaking panorama of the Alpsee and also looking north and west with bird's eye views of the Allgäu. Grab some bergkäse from the Bergkäserei Obere Hündle-alpe on your way back down after visiting the Hündlekopf peak and have a nice relaxed lunch or beer with a great view at the Berggastätte Hündle. For the little ones there is a nice playground with a slide that is within view to keep an eye on them while you enjoy a beer and a slice of cheesecake. There are some interesting shops at the base of the gondola as well with trinkets, food, and a well equipped outdoor store. Overall this a great way to spend a few hours with the kids and everyone can experience the mountain safely. Bringing a dog along is also not a problem.
