Hiking the Immenstädter Horn
This hike is perfect for a half day trip, and is a relatively safe path for new hikers. The majority of the trip is along wide gravel paths but the view is fantastic. There is also a place to fill your water on the way up and back down as well as a non serviced Alpe that did have a few drinks available for purchase. There is no food directly on the route so you will need to bring your own or if in season there are endless amounts of raspberries along the way. You will pass at least a dozen waterfalls on your way up as well. The steepest part of this hike is also the very beginning, but it gets better, don't let that deter you. I would consider this family friendly so long as you are careful on the way down with children. There are no steep drop offs, but lots of roots that could trip up inexperienced hikers.
