Das Tannheimer Tal ist ein beliebtes Hochtal für nordische Skisportler. Die Langlaufloipe, die auch in Zöblen durchführt, ist traumhaft und entsprechend frequentiert. Direkt aus dem Ort beginnt eine perfekte Schneeschuhtour, die nach einem ersten Anstieg zum Zugspitzblick über einsame Hügel führt und einen perfekten Landschaftsgenuß bietet. Mit dem Schönkahler (1688 m) oder wahlweise kurz zuvor dem Pirschling (1634 m) stehen zwei echte Gipfel zur Auswahl, die ohne große Schwierigkeiten erstiegen werden können. Zum Abschluß der Tour lohnt eine Einkehr im Berggasthof Zugspitzblick (1290 m), von wo tatsächlich die Zugspitze als ein Teil des traumhaften Panoramas sichtbar ist.
