Es ist eher schon eine kleine Winter-Bergtour, der Aufstieg über die sonnige Südseite auf den Einstein. Der Einstein als einer der Hausberge des Tannheimer Tales ist markant und von allen Seiten gut sichtbar. So lädt er zu einer Besteigung förmlich ein, die am Einfachsten auf der direkten Linie zwischen der Ortschaft Tannheim und dem Gipfel erfolgt. Ein wenig alpine Erfahrung und Trittsicherheit sind in jedem Fall notwendig, auch wenn die reinen Eckdaten der Tour eher gemäßigt sind. Die Rundum-Ausblicke auf dem Gipfel sind fantastisch.
