Die Tour bringt uns über das Gimpelhaus und die Nesselwängler Scharte hinauf auf die Köllenspitze, mit 2238 m der höchste Gipfel der Tannheimer Berge. Der erste Teil der Tour führt dabei durch Wald hinauf zum bewirtschafteten Gimpelhaus. Dahinter wird der Weg deutlich anspruchsvoller, ab der Nesselwängler Scharte beginnt die Kletterroute am Westgrat, die meist über rauen Fels führt. Eine seilfreie Begehung ist nur erfahrenen Kletterern zu empfehlen, denn die Route erreicht teilweise den III. Grad. Am Gipfel erwartet uns dann eine Aussicht, die sich über das Alpenvorland mit dem Forggensee und dem Alpsee bis hin auf die mächtigen Gipfel der Zugspitze und des Hochvogels erstreckt.
