Kilmashogue Wedge Tomb

Hidden just 50 metres from the Klimashogue Forest Car Park (after 3.2km) is a 4,000 year old megalithic tomb. There is no sign or information so most people pass by unaware it is there. After climbing through woodland you will suddenly arrive at a flat clearing with big rocks littered around the remains of a burial chamber. These stones would once have formed a mound over the top of the buried person/people.
