This lovely walk will take you to a fishing lake and gives you a good feeling of the wideness if the nature between the two national parks Hallingskarvet and Hardangervadda. Tomble around to find the perfect spot for a little break and visit the fishing cabin, closed during the winter.

This cabin belongs to the DNT - Norwegian Mountain association, and is a perfect short snowshoe walk from the road. This walk and the cabin is perfect for families with children and new beginners for winter sports. 

The Havsdals stone is a stone with local histori and now is a nice destination for your snwoshoe tour. Are you staying at the Havdalsgrenda appartments then you already are familiar with the scenic nature around you. Are you saying in other places in Geilo come over for this historical snow shoe tour.  There are not a lot of descen in this tour which makes it perfect for new starters, families or when you have limited in time. This tour is also easy to navigate, with the river and cross country track, and you will be able to see the ski center at all times.

This tour will take you up a little moutain peak in the end of the Ustedalsfjorden, On the top you get a great view over the frozen lake, the two moutainsides with the alpine slopes and the city centre with the Geilo Culture Church in the middle. But you see also the old farms and higher mountaintops surrounding the valley. A short lovely tour.
